American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (Inpatient) requiring 2+ years of experience and current ARRT and Nevada Medical Radiography licensure for a Level II trauma center in Reno, NV.

Inpatient diagnostic imaging department setting at a Level II trauma center
-
500-mile radius service area with an 800-bed hospital and 80 ER beds
-
3x12 shift schedule, Friday-Sunday 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
-
May be required to float within the department or health system up to competency level
-
Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
-
Uses Epic for charting, with training available during orientation or option to test out

ARRT certification required upon hire

State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography required (license required if applicable)

AHA BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience required
-
Fluoroscopy experience required
-
Recent travel experience required, including at least one 13-week assignment within the past year

Must demonstrate competency in OR Suite, Trauma Suite, and portable radiography without assistance within 90 days

Provide optimal diagnostic imaging and individualized patient care for neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures following Merrill's Anatomy and Positioning guidelines and facility policy

Verify and execute physician orders, ensure patient safety, and consult with radiologists on contrast media and image quality

Responsibilities include billing, supply stocking, file maintenance, medical charting, and informed consent documentation
-
May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
-
Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the assignment

Facility may cancel full or partial shifts with 48 hours notice for low census without penalty per 13-week contract

A 13-week break is required for returning employees after completing a prior contract
-
No blocked scheduling allowed, and all assignments are for 13 weeks
-
Requested time off must be submitted with the application and will not be added to the end of the contract

Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted

Works within a Level II trauma center recognized for advanced heart, cancer, neuroscience, and robotic surgery programs
