Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified brewer to join our team! This position will work with other brewers, as a team, to achieve the goals of brewing, cellaring, and packaging beer. This role requires a go-with-the-flow attitude and prior brewing experience.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and storage of raw goods and packaging materials
- Perform work at multiple brewery locations as needed
- Clean and sanitize cooperage
- Maintain and safely operate brewhouse equipment
- Monitor and adjust brewing processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Manually clean and perform CIP on equipment and maintain cleanliness in the brewing, cellaring, and packaging areas
- Assist the packaging team with filling, sorting, stacking, and labeling for distribution
- Conduct regular maintenance on brewhouse equipment, fermenters, draught beer lines, packaging equipment
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean warehouse environment
- Work with restaurant/taproom staff and distribution staff to achieve company goals
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience working in a brewery preferred
- Degree or certificate from an authorized professional brewing education program is preferred
- Working knowledge of the brewing process and quality standards for beer
- Working knowledge of common sanitary practices and safety practices in a brewery
- Must be able to lift kegs (165 lbs) and malt bags (55 lbs) in a safe and continuous manner
- Must be able to work in a warm environment with high humidity
- Willingness to repair equipment as needed to achieve brewery goals
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete multiple tasks within a workday
-Forklift certification and the ability to operate a forklift is a plus
