Overview
Join our dynamic oral surgery team as a dental assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering top-notch services. You will be at the heart of our practice, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and informed throughout their dental journey.
What you’ll do
- Assist the oral surgeon during surgery.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for use.
- Take X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Go over post op instructions with patients to ensure proper care.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in dental and or oral surgery assisting.
- Familiarity with medical documentation and medical records.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control procedures, and anatomy related to oral surgery.
- Must have a valid X Ray license
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in using 3D scanners for imaging purposes.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to the field.
