Salary Range: Up to $90,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Operations Manager provides staff oversight, leadership support, and operations management within the Cybersecurity Manufacturing Innovation Institute (CyManII) to effectively execute and operationalize CyManII leadership priorities by delivering integrated IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and technology services that directly support and advance the organization's mission. This role ensures that all phases of the Institute have effective people operations, operational controls, administrative functions and compliance reporting procedures in place.
Core Responsibilities

Supports the Institute in achieving its overarching vision and mission.

Works with leadership to establish policies that support the Institute's business strategies, plans, and comprehensive goals for performance and growth.

Coordinates federal contracts and other government and industry agreements, ensuring financial and legal compliance.

Oversees daily operations of the Institute and provides indirect management of staff in operational and project management and other related roles and fills any operational gaps and works to minimize interruptions.

Manages relationships with partners and vendors to include facilitation of membership agreements, subcontracts and services agreements.

Provides project management structure and support for collaborative research and workforce development activities.

Ensures the Institute meets all requirements as determined by overarching sponsor contracts and agreements.

Manages and organizes meetings, events, and board meetings with the highest quality planning and execution and supports the day-to-day operations of the Institute.

Manages, plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of administrative and operational matters in support of the Institute.

Facilitates and monitors Statement of Project Objectives (SOPO) deliverables and assists in preparing annual and quarterly Department of Energy reports.

Coordinates and tracks annual Conflict of Interest (COI) renewal process, annual membership application renewals, and other cooperative agreement and contractual needs.

Represents the organization in national level engagements and serve as proxy representative for Institute leadership when requested.

Serves as proxy or stand-in for Institute leadership in relevant meetings and events when needed.

Participates in operational and financial activities, as required by federal and state requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Five (5) years of related work experience.

This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in a related field.

Ten (10) years of related work experience.

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Working Conditions

Office Environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, multiple site locations, training sessions or other business-related events. After hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis. Occasionally after hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands

Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will work
both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
