The Auditorium Technical Assistant will report directly to the Auditorium Manager. This position will work on a wide variety of events in the Auditorium, supervise LOHS Theatre students working on productions, and assist with maintenance and upkeep of the Auditorium, including the theater scene shop.
Qualifications:
Skills/experience (required):

1+ years of technical theatre experience

Ability to pass a background check to work with students

18+ years old
-
Strong communication skills
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to work at heights
Skills/experience (preferred):
-
Experience in education, ideally with high school students

Live audio mixing/stage audio setup (Midas M32 and QLab experience a plus)

Basic knowledge of theatrical lighting (ETC Ion experience a plus)

Carpentry experience (scenic carpentry or similar)

Interest in further mastering skills in Theater Technology/Design
Duties:
During events:
-
Supervise renters in Auditorium
-
Run light board or sound board
-
Move scenery backstage (including operation of fly system)

Manage backstage areas

Assist with event setup and takedown, including orchestra shell
LOHS Theatre Productions:

Work with LOHS students during rehearsals on lighting, sound, set construction, painting, props, costumes, makeup

Supervise students during shows
Other tasks:

Assist with auditorium maintenance and upkeep, equipment repairs, and various projects

Other duties as assigned by district administration and Auditorium Manager
Schedule/Hours:
Generally, weekday afternoons during LOHS productions. Will include some evenings/weekends for events, with a flexible schedule at other times. Hours worked within a week will not exceed 20 hours.
