Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glazier/Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and related materials across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure that our clients receive high-quality craftsmanship, safety standards are met, and project deadlines are achieved. Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install glass panels, windows, doors, and custom glass fixtures according to project specifications and schematics
- Use hand tools such as chisels, screwdrivers, and pry bars to prepare surfaces for installation
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and efficiently during fabrication and installation processes
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute complex glass and frame installations
- Perform heavy lifting of glass panels and framing materials while adhering to safety protocols
- Complete caulking, sealing, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing to ensure secure installations and finished aesthetics
- Assist with remodeling projects involving fixture installation, cabinet hanging, door hanging, or construction painting as needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning and resource management
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in glass installation and carpentry
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise execution of projects
- Skilled in metal stud framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, and door hanging techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site during remodeling or repair tasks
- Prior handyman experience or general construction background is highly desirable
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing and finishing touches on installations
