Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all store functions, including sales, inventory, and staff management
- Lead and supervise team members to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales goals
- Manage employee orientation, training & development programs to enhance team performance
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, conduct interviews, and participate in hiring decisions to build a strong team
- Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
- Maintain inventory control through effective purchasing, stocking, merchandising, and inventory management practices
- Supervise shift operations ensuring smooth cashiering, POS transactions, pricing accuracy, and store cleanliness
- Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and customer engagement
- Monitor retail math metrics such as sales per square foot, gross profit margins, and shrinkage rates
- Foster a positive work environment by providing leadership, coaching, and clear communication to staff
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery environments with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development
- Proficiency with POS systems, retail math calculations, budgeting, and cash handling procedures
- Skilled in inventory management techniques including stock control and merchandising strategies
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks within retail settings
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on time management and multitasking in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of wireless sales or marketing strategies is advantageous but not required
