CDR ProSource is seeking a Project Coordinator for one of our clients in Elkhart, Indiana. This role is critical to the success of the operation and is responsible for managing the flow of active projects from award through completion. The ideal candidate will ensure communication stays clear, timelines stay on track, and all departments remain aligned throughout the entire project lifecycle.
This is a highly detail-oriented, fast-paced coordination role that requires strong organization, accountability, and the ability to keep multiple moving parts under control at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and monitor all active projects from award through completion
· Track job progress and ensure each phase is moving forward on schedule
· Serve as a central communication hub between leadership, shop staff, estimators, purchasing, and office teams
· Ensure clear and consistent communication across all departments at all times
· Proactively identify delays, missing information, or scope changes and escalate appropriately
· Serve as a point of contact for customers, contractors, and external partners regarding project updates and coordination
· Manage RFIs, submittals, and transmittals using EPM and Tekla
· Ensure all project documentation is properly submitted, tracked, and maintained
· Maintain organized and accurate file systems across internal servers and Google drive.
· Work closely with the Shop Supervisor to align production schedules, drawing approvals, and workload
· Follow up consistently on open RFIs, pending approvals, and outstanding items to prevent project delays
Required Qualifications:
· Prior experience in project coordination or project management (construction, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred)
· Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
· Experience with steel, metals, structural, or shop-based environments strongly preferred
· Familiarity with Tekla and EPM (or similar document control systems)
· Proficiency with Outlook and Excel
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously
· Excellent communication skills, both internal and external
· Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-first environment
