Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while handling cash accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
- Support host/hostess duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and food pairing recommendations
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation standards in food handling and preparation
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with guests and team members
