Made for the Mountains is a Vermont lifestyle boutique inspired by the beauty, heritage, and spirit of mountain living. We curate women's apparel, home goods, and accessories rooted in craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and everyday luxury.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager who enjoys connecting with people, telling a story through product, and creating a welcoming, elevated in-store experience.
About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, you will be the face of Made for the Mountains—providing genuine, personalized service and helping customers feel at home in our space. This role is ideal for someone who loves fashion, interiors, mountain life, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and brand-forward storytelling
- Assist customers with styling, gifting, and home décor selections
- Maintain a clean, inviting, and beautifully merchandised sales floor
- Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately
- Assist with receiving, tagging, and restocking merchandise
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Assist with seasonal events, promotions, and in-store experiences

Availability Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Holiday availability is required
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are essential
Qualifications
- Retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light merchandise
- Must be able to work in person at our Manchester and/or Ludlow locations

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
