Job Title: Medical Assistant (Front Office) - Contract
Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $21-$23/hour (Based on Experience)
Contract Length: 12 weeks (Leave of Absence coverage) with potential extension
We are seeking an experienced Front Office Medical Assistant to join a busy outpatient clinic in Rancho Cucamonga. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys providing exceptional patient service, and has strong administrative and scheduling experience. The clinic averages approximately 40 patients per provider each day, making organization and multitasking essential.

Answer incoming patient calls and schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments.

Perform front office check-out, including scheduling follow-up appointments and reviewing discharge instructions with patients.

Verify insurance, collect co-pays, and provide an outstanding patient experience.

Prepare patient charts, manage patient intake, and room patients as needed.

Scan documents into the EMR and manage incoming faxes and provider message inboxes.

Assist patients with medical forms and route completed documentation appropriately.

Conduct patient outreach for preventive care reminders and appointment follow-up.

Manage provider in-baskets, patient messages, and administrative tasks.

Process medication refill requests and prior authorizations following clinic protocols.

Maintain exam rooms by stocking supplies, sterilizing instruments, and completing equipment quality control checks.

Support clinical staff with standing office protocols and other duties as assigned.

3+ years of medical front office or medical assistant experience.

Experience working in a high-volume medical practice.

Proficiency using an EMR system; eClinicalWorks experience is highly preferred.

Strong patient service, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced clinic.
