depression, anxiety, and PTSD reclaim their lives. Our practice specializes in advanced,
rapid-acting interventional psychiatric treatments—including Ketamine infusions and
SPRAVATO® (esketamine) nasal spray—alongside comprehensive psychiatric care and
medication management.
Role Summary
We are seeking a versatile, professional, and empathetic Medical Assistant (MA) or
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to anchor our new Hailey clinic. In this dual clinical and
administrative role, you will be the face of our clinic, orchestrating seamless daily
workflows from front-desk intake to direct clinical care. A cornerstone of this position
involves administering and monitoring our breakthrough SPRAVATO® treatment protocols,
ensuring unparalleled patient safety, comfort, and compliance.
Core Responsibilities
1. Patient Care & Clinical Intake
- Rooming & Vitals: Warmly greet and escort patients to treatment rooms. Accurately
measure and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, heart rate, pulse
oximetry, and temperature).
- Intake Documentation: Conduct comprehensive pre-treatment assessments,
verify patient medical histories, check allergies, and confirm the specific purpose of
the visit within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Treatment Room Prep: Sanitize, stock, and maintain clinical rooms, ensuring all
biomedical monitoring equipment is calibrated and fully operational.
2. SPRAVATO® Treatment Assistance & Monitoring
- REMS Protocol Compliance: Actively support the provider in managing strict Risk
Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) requirements during treatment.
- Direct Treatment Supervision: Assist providers with preparing and administering
SPRAVATO® nasal spray devices. Continuously observe patients during their
mandatory 2-hour post-administration monitoring period.
- Patient Safety Checks: Perform precise pre-, intra-, and post-treatment vital sign
assessments. Actively monitor for potential adverse side effects (e.g., sedation,
dissociation, or acute blood pressure changes) and immediately escalate
anomalies to the supervising clinician.
- Therapeutic Environment: Maintain a quiet, calming, and comfortable clinical
atmosphere designed to minimize sensory overload for patients undergoing
interventional treatment.
3. Front-Office Coordination & Financial Management
- Patient Logistics: Proactively manage the Hailey clinic schedule, coordinate
recurring appointment blocks, and handle multi-channel communications (phone,
email, text reminders).
- Financial Processing: Collect copays, deductibles, and self-pay balances at the
time of service. Provide accurate payment receipts and balance day-end point-of-
sale logs.
- Insurance Support: Support clinical staff by verifying insurance benefits and
collecting necessary documentation for prior authorizations on complex
treatments.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA/RMA) OR
holding an active Idaho state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- BLS/CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Clinical Skills: Highly proficient in manually and digitally capturing patient vital
signs.
- Technical Savvy: Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
systems and foundational office platforms (Microsoft Suite).
- Communication & Discretion: Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
with an unwavering dedication to patient privacy, strict HIPAA regulations, and
ethical clinical standards.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Behavioral Health Experience: 1+ years of experience working inside an outpatient
psychiatric practice, behavioral health center, infusion clinic, or urgent care facility.
- Advanced Treatment Exposure: Prior experience observing or assisting with
Esketamine (Spravato) or IV Ketamine procedures.
- Startup/Growth Mindset: Enthusiasm for participating in a new clinic rollout,
displaying the flexibility and problem-solving skills required to build efficient
workflows from the ground up.
