Job Description
The Enrollment Services department serves prospective, admitted, and enrolled students through recruitment, admissions, outreach, pre-orientation, orientation, retention efforts and student lifecycle.
The Retention and Completion Coach works as a team member in Enrollment Services to advance the receipt of technical degrees, diplomas, and certificates by improving persistence and degree completion. This position provides additional support services, including satisfactory academic progress and mentoring, and financial aid and crisis grant support to students. This position assists with counseling students through Satisfactory Academic Progress and works closely with faculty advisors regarding student progress with course completion and the college counselor in various capacities to encourage student success between Enrollment Services and Counseling. Other responsibilities include conducting academic and personal support groups and workshops for students, assisting in providing Accessibility Services to students with disabilities on the ATC campus and assisting Enrollment Services with other recruitment events, activities, tours, and scheduled student appointments.
This position will use a hybrid schedule working three (3) days on campus and two (2) days remote.
Salary Range:
$23.98 - $34.69/hour
Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year of professional experience related to student life, student support, admissions and/or enrollment services. An associate degree could be substituted for six (6) months of experience and a bachelor’s degree for twelve (12) months.
- Interpersonal communication and listening skills to interact with students and customers regarding complex situations to explain academic options
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain calmness and professionalism in high stress situations
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
- Commitment to equity and inclusive service to diverse, multicultural student populations
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Knowledge, background, and/or experience working with underrepresented students
- Experience in working with students in a counseling capacity or role
- Experience working with admissions or enrollment services teams
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, staff, administration, and external constituents
