Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our foam manufacturing team. The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment used to manufacture foam products. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe work environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor foam manufacturing machinery according to production specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Inspect foam products for quality, dimensions, and defects throughout the production process.
- Measure and record production data accurately.
- Load raw materials and remove finished products from production lines.
- Perform routine machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting.
- Report equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and quality procedures.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.
- Experience in foam manufacturing or similar industrial environments is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read work orders, production schedules, and measuring devices.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Skills
- Experience operating industrial production equipment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
- Experience completing quality inspections and production documentation.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
