Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
- Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of food safety protocols, alcohol service regulations, and sanitation practices
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling bills, tips, and sales calculations
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain necessary certifications prior to employment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays or supplies, and perform cleaning duties as required
