Maintain, repair, replace, and install electrical systems and their components determining conditions and malfunctions
- Install maintain, troubleshoot (basic), and repair electrical motors, generators, distribution systems, control systems, and related electrical and mechanical equipment involving voltages up to 480V AC or DC
- Maintain, alter, and repair power appliances, light machinery, lighting fixtures, and electrical circuits in existing facilities; install fixtures and appliances in new construction
- Maintain, alter, and repair existing wiring; install conduit for electrical systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC); assist in pulling cable for primary systems; and install new wiring
- Install conduit and other wiring raceways
- Recommend and complete preventive maintenance
Analyzes blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of repairing or determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.
Responsible for general administrative functions
- Input and process work order requests utilizing web-based work order management system.
- Record detailed descriptions of work performed and notate preventative maintenance information
- Monitor building automation systems.
- Assist with training, continuing education, and guidance for staff on position expectations, safe use of equipment; ensure staff follow prescribed policies and procedures.
Assist in maintaining inventory of materials, supplies, tools and/or equipment throughout area of responsibility; ensure organized workstations and storage closets with necessary materials as directed
- Perform general cleaning duties after the completion of maintenance tasks within buildings or properties.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
Perform other duties as assigned, including special tasks or projects
- Operation of state vehicles.
