We are looking to add a team member to our event cake sales team! This individual will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to retail and wholesale clients assisting all clients (brides, grooms, others) with designing their event cakes and dessert tables. Responsible for delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Actively up sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED
- Meet with clients for designing cakes and Sweet Tables
- Clear, detailed order taking for all orders in the event department
- Schedule and run all cake tasting appointments
- Manage all communications and order processing for wholesale wedding accounts
- Ensure all paperwork and invoicing is correct, distributed and paid… for all products sold through the department
- Work with Production Manager to ensure bakers and decorators have all the weekly lists needed for production of all products sold through the department
- Create detailed delivery schedules
- Attend wedding shows/events on occasion to build new lines of business for department
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able work a flexible schedule, including weekends to accommodate appointments
- Main hours of availability must be Tuesday-Saturday 9am-6pm with occasional Sundays as needed during busy season.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoy working with people
- Must be detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
- Previous Retail experience 1-3 years in the food industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills with Microsoft applications, Word, Excel
- An understanding of the wedding cake market and current trends, with ongoing plan to drive business to department.
Work Remotely
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
