About the Role
QC inspector function includes incoming, in process, final inspection. responsible for performing inspection or testing according to the written instructions that Xinquan provides, to ensure the row material, self-made components, semi-products, final assembly meet the specified standards and regulations. When qualified, you could be assigned to one or more work areas to conduct inspection tasks as needed. The areas include incoming/receiving inspection, in process inspection, final inspection.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure that all measure instruments/tools are in well maintained and good working conditions before use and traceable to/from their assigned storage location.
· Execute quality procedures for documentation and control of materials, include reporting, and handling the non-conforming material according to the procedure.
· Visually examines by means of instruments, gauges, jigs, templates or other measuring devices to include nondestructive test methods and/or x-ray to insure adherence to standards, specifications, drawing.
· Inspection of product can include but is not limited to document review, visual inspection, packaging, shelf life, life limited records, materials subject to electrostatic discharge.
· Perform incoming dimensional inspections on machined, molded, and electrical components, utilize a wide variety of measurement tools, such as calipers, Micrometers. Scale
· Verifies documentation such as picking lists, vendor supplied test data, purchase orders.
· Sampling of all raw materials and intermediates according to company standard operating procedure.
· Identifies and reacts to quality-related problems identified by the customer, supplier or from other process.
· Transport samples to and from work area.
· Perform first piece inspections, perform in-process inspections and perform final inspections.
· Performs periodic inspections on production lines to ensure that the products are within acceptable limits (weight, tolerances…)
· Ensure that shipping containers are packed according to customer specifications.
· Assists on machines/lines as required.
· Other tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
Required
· Observational skills to identify defects in product characteristics, such as shape, size, color and surface texture.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills to understand test results and diagnose product defects.
· Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, torque wrenches, hardness testers, tensile testers, surface roughness testers, scopes, digital inspection systems and other tools and equipment.
· Communication skills to create concise reports and provide feedback and instruction to the manufacturing team.
· Technical skills to utilize statistical process control (SPC), coordinate measuring machine (CMM), quality management system (QMS), inspection, calibration management, blueprint, document management, word processing, email and other software.
Preferred
· Associate degree in Material, Mechanic, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
· Experience in automotive interiors inspection, such as seat, console, dashboard products.
· Experience with startup or greenfield manufacturing operations.
· Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin
· Familiarity with automotive injection molding and trim component manufacturing
· Experience with quality management software and statistical analysis tools.
