Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients following established recipes and standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food prep tools safely and efficiently.
- Cook pizzas using various techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and baking to achieve optimal flavor and texture.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling protocols to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Support high-volume food production during peak hours while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and exceptional guest satisfaction in a lively restaurant setting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly with pizza or similar cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and recipe adherence.
- Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in operating kitchen equipment safely.
- Experience with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures.
- Familiarity with dietary aide practices and menu planning is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-volume production settings.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to support a vibrant dining atmosphere.
