Emulsion Compounder is responsible for precisely measuring, mixing and processing raw materials to create stable emulsion (mixtures of immiscible liquids), operate heavy manufacturing equipment batch compounding to strict specifications and ensure all production adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
Key responsibility:
· Batch preparation: Accurately weigh, measure and stage chemical ingredient such as essential oils, powder and liquids according to strict formulas and batch records.
· Equipment operations – operate and monitor mixers, two stage homogenizers to achieve proper droplet consistency, viscosity and product stability
· Quality Control – collect batch samples for testing in the lab – Chemical compliance parameters like PH, temperature, color and consistency.
· Sanitation – execute strict sanitation protocols including clean in place and COP procedure on tanks, pipes, valves.
· Documentation – complete log books batch record, inventory log in accordance with GMP and Standard operating procedures and meet ISO – QMS standards
Qualifications:
Education – high school diploma, must speak English have writing and reading ability degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering are highly preferred.
Experience – 2-5 years minimum in procedures for cosmetics or pharmaceutical or manufacturing.
Physical ability -- must be able to stand for extended periods. Routinely lift, move and manipulate heavy containers
Compliance and Safety: Strong understanding of basic chemistry adherence to GMP and OSHA standards.
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
