About the Role
As the Kennel Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining staff schedules, keeping high standards of animal care, managing client relationships, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who loves working with animals and leading a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily kennel operations and staff scheduling.
- Supervise, train, and support kennel attendants.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all dogs and cats.
- Monitor feeding, exercise, medication, and cleaning protocols.
- Handle customer inquiries, reservations, and concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate records and kennel management systems.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and facility policies.
- Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care, boarding, veterinary, or kennel management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of dog behavior, health, and safety practices.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an active environment.
