Overview
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Cross Dock Forklift Driver and become a vital part of our fast-paced warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, and transferring goods across the distribution center using various types of material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts such as reach trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanning equipment to load and unload shipments efficiently.
- Safely load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper stacking and secure handling to prevent damage.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanners to track inventory movements accurately during shipping and receiving processes.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to maintain optimal operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock in the warehouse, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols related to forklift operation, heavy equipment use, and manual handling to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
Skills
- Cross-dock forklift drivers rapidly move freight directly from inbound to outbound trailers, minimizing storage time
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts including reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and lift trucks in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking and order fulfillment accuracy.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling guidelines.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety standards such as OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour
