Job Summary
Re-Lux Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support construction projects through planning, technical coordination, documentation, and field operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to keep projects organized, on schedule, and compliant with project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support project managers with daily construction activities
- Review construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project documents
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field personnel
- Track project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material deliveries
- Assist with change orders, purchase orders, and cost tracking
- Prepare project reports, meeting notes, and documentation
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates
- Assist with site inspections and field coordination
- Coordinate permits, inspections, and deliveries
- Identify project issues and assist with practical solutions
- Maintain organized project files and records
- Support quality-control and project closeout activities
- Follow company and OSHA safety procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Previous construction or engineering experience is a plus
- Knowledge of construction processes and project documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Procore experience is a plus
