The Adams County Health Department seeks a full time Family Engagement Specialist will work with the local AOK Network Coordinator in developing and maintaining the network with a focus on enhancing the AOK Network's capacity to ensure improvements in authentic family engagement and increasing enrollment in home visiting and other early childhood services.
General Duties:
- Assist and collaborate with the local AOK Coordinator to design and implement three cross-sector initiatives focused on: Network Capacity, Information and Referral, Child and Family Outcome.
- Participate in all mandatory AOK Networks statewide meetings and trainings: three, two-day meetings in Central Illinois, monthly teleconferences, webinars, and AOK Network sponsored regional trainings.
- Attend professional development opportunities recommended by the Department
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred from an accredited college or university in social work, early childhood education family support, public health or related field.
- Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator’s license by the state of residence prior to appointment and during tenure of employment.
