Summary
The successful candidate will be the heart of our church media production and the bridge of communication to the many generations of our church family, guests and community members. We are looking for an applicant who has a desire to apply their creative media production skills in expanding our impact within our community, strong organizational skills, and the ability to think creatively and critically.
The position will require a maximum of 28 hours/week, 3 hours of which are on Sunday morning to coordinate and manage the live streaming of worship. The remaining 25 hours can be scheduled in a hybrid manner, combining approximately 10 hours in office with remote work.
Responsibilities
Administration:
· Work closely with the Senior Pastor in partnership to facilitate effective communications and relations with church members, guests, and the broader community.
· Respond to inbound communications (email, phone, in-person, online), routing them to the appropriate individuals as needed.
· Put together weekly worship bulletins, a monthly newsletter, and fliers or other paper media as required.
· Maintain the church database with membership data including information provided on the individual connection cards distributed during worship services. Also generate reports of the data when required.
· Draft and distribute communication using various methods, to church members, staff, and leadership, as well as guests and other community members.
· Coordinate facility and building use to support both internal church and external community groups. This includes being the point of contact for all rental agreements and maintaining the related calendars.
· Collaborate with the Senior Pastor and church teams to identify opportunities for improvements in various programming areas.
Tech & Media:
· Coordinate and facilitate the technology for Sunday worship, creating the media (slides, etc) and handling the sound and production of the worship service.
· Facilitate the live streaming of the worship service and the corresponding distribution of the live stream to YouTube (or equivalent alternative).
· Assess and coordinate any maintenance/updates for the hardware/software (computer, cameras, sound equipment, etc) necessary for the worship service production.
· Provide input and suggestions for improving the church’s presence in the online community.
· Coordinate production technical assistance for memorials, weddings, or other events in the church, including live streaming and/or online distribution as needed
Preferred Qualifications
· Minimum of 2 years experience in an office environment
· Experience using MS Office products and other software (Including but not limited to: MS Word, MS Excel, PowerChurch 14, ProPresenter 7, Igniter Media, Canva)
· Knowledge of maintaining an office phone system and other typical office equipment
· Strong writing skills to draft communications
· Strong learning skills & open to feedback in a collaborative, supportive environment.
· A candidate in this position will succeed with the following qualities: ability to take initiative, fast learning skills, attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to find middle ground or compromise among a diverse number of needs from different church members, groups, or projects.

Pay: $23,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year
