About the Role
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for operating the cash register, assisting customers with purchases, answering basic product and store inquiries, and maintaining an organized checkout area. You'll receive paid training, ongoing support, and opportunities for advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude
- Accurately process cash, credit, debit, and digital payments
- Scan merchandise and ensure transactions are completed efficiently
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and store credits in accordance with company policies
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked checkout area
- Assist customers with questions and direct them to the appropriate department when needed
- Help restock merchandise and support general store operations as required
- Follow company policies and loss prevention procedures
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, reliable, and professional demeanor
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems and learning new technology
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
- Availability Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend shifts as needed
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required—paid training will be provided
