Duties
- Lead and motivate the service team to deliver outstanding automotive repair and maintenance services, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee all aspects of vehicle servicing including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Manage daily operations such as scheduling appointments, assigning work to technicians with mechanic experience or service technician background, and monitoring workflow to meet productivity goals.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications; utilize automotive diagnostics tools for accurate troubleshooting.
- Drive sales through effective upselling of additional services like auto estimating, service writing, and vehicle maintenance packages while maintaining transparency with customers.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities and customer interactions.
- Foster strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service, explaining repair needs clearly, and ensuring their satisfaction from initial consultation through vehicle pickup.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management or automotive repair operations.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair.
- Hands-on experience working as a mechanic or service technician is highly desirable to understand technical challenges firsthand.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Strong understanding of auto estimating software and service writing procedures to accurately document repairs and communicate costs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle cash transactions confidently.
- Familiarity with automobile sales processes is a plus for promoting additional vehicle-related services or upgrades.
