Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans designed to promote positive behaviors and improve daily living skills. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality care while collecting data and maintaining accurate records to support the therapeutic process.
Position Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a key role in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You’ll work directly with children and/or adolescents to support their communication, behavior, and life skills—helping them reach their full potential in school, home, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 direct ABA therapy to clients, following treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Collect and record data on client progress using electronic data collection systems
- Implement behavior support plans, including skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to support generalization across environments
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing supervision sessions
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Follow all ethical guidelines set forth by the BACB
Qualifications
- Active RBT Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred)
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental differences
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Compassionate, patient, and eager to learn
- Must pass a background check and meet state/funding compliance requirements
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with ABA data collection platforms
- Experience in a school or clinic-based ABA program
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
