The Medical Triage Specialist will provide support to the clinics by handling administrative tasks such as prescriptions, provide pathology results and prior authorizations as allowed. They will send certified letters for non-compliance. Medical Triage Specialists will be crossed trained in Customer Service to assist during high call volume times and during staff absences. A successful employee will be able to work with a diverse pool of staff and professional, across several locations, managing the needs and demands of our growing practices.
Responsibilities include:

Provide pathology results
-
Respond within 24 hours to messages sent through multiple message channels

Send applicable prescriptions
-
Handle medication and prior authorization electronic faxes for multiple providers

Accurately filling out prior authorization request forms and documenting charts with updates

Ensure that patient medical records are up-to-date in accordance with regulatory and compliance policies

Schedule general, cosmetic, and surgical appointments for multiple providers
-
Cross trained in Customer Service call types & functions

Recognizing, documenting, and informing the Supervisor regarding the trends in internal and external calls

Mailing of Certified Letters for non-compliance
-
Provide excellent customer service to all patients

Completes a clinical rotation as needed
