Infusion Nurse (RN)
Outpatient Hematology & Oncology Clinic
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice as an Infusion Nurse. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and patients while providing high-quality infusion services in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Experience in hematology, oncology, infusion therapy, or medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
- Willingness to obtain Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification within an agreed-upon timeframe.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel to our satellite offices in Glen Mills, King of Prussia, and Center City Philadelphia as needed.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare, mix, and administer chemotherapy, iron infusions, biologic agents, injections, and other infusion therapies in accordance with physician orders and established safety protocols.
- Monitor patients during and after infusions, assess for adverse reactions, and provide appropriate interventions when necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians regarding treatment plans, protocols, and patient care.
- Triage patient telephone calls, assess patient concerns, and communicate with providers to ensure timely follow-up.
- Schedule and coordinate infusion appointments.
- Maintain inventory of medications and infusion supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemotherapy and hazardous medications in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Disinfect infusion chairs, equipment, and treatment areas between patients following infection prevention standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation, medication logs, and inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
