Qualifications
Must pass a background check in accordance with Maryland law
- This position requires candidates to possess a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
- Must hold a board-approved active license in Social Worker or Professional Therapist licensed in the state of Maryland (LGPC, LCPC, LCSW-C, LCMFT)
- Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining client confidentiality
- Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care
- Dedicated to evolving professional development to include continuing education
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care
- Excellent communication, writing skills, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build rapport with clients and families to provide high-quality care
- Ability to manage time effectively and complete documentation and administrative tasks accurately
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment modalities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a therapist on our team, you will experience an environment where you can thrive and practice in a sustainable, personalized way, with the support of a clinical and administrative team
- To evaluate, treat, and diagnose clients who have a mental health disorder
- Maintain records, evaluations, and assessments according to agency, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and federal regulations.
- Responsible for a full client caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive wellness/treatment plans
- Respond to client mental health crises and develop safety plans when appropriate
- Monitor client progress, modify plans as needed
- Apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches and techniques appropriate to the client's needs
- Schedule or assist with the scheduling of clinical and/or support staff to ensure adequate coverage during shifts
- Adherence to our and the State of Maryland Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and all personnel policies and procedures
- Educate clients on mental health conditions, available resources, and coping tools
- Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy based on the unique needs and circumstances of each client, fostering a path to healing and resilience
- Maintain up-to-date credentials, certificates, a valid driver's license, and/or acceptable alternative form/s of identification
- Comply with HIPAA, ethical standards, licensing requirements, and organizational policies
- Continue special training in designated areas
Be available for weekend and/or evening sessions
- Conduct strength-based, culturally sensitive assessments for new clients, creating a welcoming atmosphere for diverse backgrounds
- Ensure timely completion of documentation, individualized treatment plans, billing documentation, and insurance authorization forms
- Engage in cooperative care alongside our team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, administrative staff, and fellow therapists, ensuring a comprehensive and integrated approach to mental health care
- Work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

- Compensation: Negotiable. COMPENSATION BASED ON LICENSURE. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure and experience. The compensation represents our current fair and equitable practices that may be adjusted over time to remain competitive and aligned with organizational needs.
