Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable database architectures including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL to support organizational needs.
- Implement high availability solutions such as database clustering and disaster recovery architectures to ensure system resilience and minimal downtime.
- Perform performance tuning and system tuning to improve system uptime through effective database optimization techniques.
- Develop and manage complex stored procedures, scripts, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using T-SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell) for efficient data management.
- Conduct data model design and implement data migration strategies while ensuring data integrity and security compliance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to databases promptly by providing expert-level support in system troubleshooting and performance diagnostics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data management security initiatives, implementing best practices for data recovery, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in database administration with a strong focus on SQL systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Extensive knowledge of high availability architecture including database clustering and replication techniques.
- Proficiency in Linux environments with experience in shell scripting (Bash) for automation tasks.
- Strong skills in performance tuning, system optimization, and improving system uptime through effective database tuning practices.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) or similar tools for data migration and integration projects.
- Expertise in developing stored procedures, triggers, and writing complex SQL queries including T-SQL and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with data management security protocols to safeguard sensitive information against unauthorized access.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently while providing support for system troubleshooting support activities.
- Excellent understanding of database architecture design principles along with experience in disaster recovery architecture planning.

Pay: $55.61 - $60.77 per hour
