Position Available: Transportation Specialist
Department: Transportation
The ND Mill is seeking a Transportation Specialist to support the activities of the Transportation Department. Provide support in rail fleet management, common carrier coordination, and freight. Assist in general office duties, i.e. filing, data input, and phone answering.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain / update tracing records.
Receive and audit freight invoices.
Assist with rail fleet maintenance management.
Bill out rail cars.
Download rail car movement data files.
Monitor rail freight pricing.
Use desktop software and analyze competitive position.
Schedule motor carriers order pick up.
General office duties, i.e. filing, answer phones, and customer service duties. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and strong customer relations skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment focused on customer service
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database management in computers
Fully experienced in MS Office applications – Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point
Understanding of finance, accounting or statistical environment helpful.
Education and/or training:
Minimum associate degree, preference to a bachelor’s degree. Agricultural background
helpful.
