Responsibilities
- Coordinate efficiently with kitchen staff to expedite food orders, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Verify order accuracy and presentation standards before serving dishes to customers
- Communicate clearly with servers regarding order status, special requests, or modifications
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing to enhance visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expeditor station, adhering to food safety standards
- Support food handling and safety protocols during busy service hours
- Collaborate with team members to manage multiple tables and prioritize tasks effectively
- Stock supplies and maintain appearance of napkins, cups, water station, bussing station, retail area.
- Monitor customer areas including restroom, behind counter
Skills
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively between kitchen staff and servers
- Experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments
- Knowledge of food preparation, expediting, and food safety procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with POS systems for order tracking and management
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Basic numeracy skills for portion control and order accuracy
- Previous banquet or hotel experience is a plus but not required
- Kitchen experience including cooking or food handling is advantageous
- Customer service orientation with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism
