Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our organization. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing staff, improving operational processes, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the successful delivery of services. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Duties
- Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff members while promoting a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Monitor workflow, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement process enhancements.
- Coordinate with leadership to establish operational goals and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records.
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Address operational issues and resolve problems promptly.
- Support budgeting, inventory management, and cost-control initiatives as assigned.
- Foster excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or a similar customer-focused environment with supervising responsibilities
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities in a multilingual or bilingual setting
- Demonstrated expertise in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee orientation processes
- Knowledge of inventory management systems including POS software and inventory control procedures
- Experience with retail math, pricing strategies, sales management, and store merchandising
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties when needed
- Skilled in training & development initiatives to foster team growth and leadership skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities
- Familiarity with budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail or grocery store environments is highly desirable
