West Parish Family School is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Classroom Assistant to join our dedicated team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for people who are passionate about early childhood education and enjoys creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can thrive.
As a Classroom Assistant, you will work alongside our lead teachers to support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while helping maintain a positive and organized classroom.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support children's learning through play-based activities.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play.
- Encourage positive social interactions and model appropriate behavior.
- Assist with meals, snacks, toileting, and other daily care routines.
- Help prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Communicate professionally with staff and families.
- Follow all Massachusetts EEC regulations and West Parish Family School policies.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- EEC Teacher or Teacher Assistant certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude with a genuine love for working with children.
- Reliable, flexible, and dependable.

Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- School Year Position (September 2026 – June 2027)
- Full-Time and Part-Time positions may be available
Salary
Starting at $20–$22 per hour, based on education, certification, and experience.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
