Commercial Handyman Technician Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair commercial systems
-
Respond promptly to service calls, provide accurate quotes, and deliver effective, longterm solutions
-
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability, performance, and safety
-
Utilize company apps and client software for realtime reporting, inventory management, and job tracking
-
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams; maintain company vehicle and tools in good working condition
-
Uphold all safety standards and be available for oncall or afterhours work (compensated at premium rates)

12+ years of commercial handyman service experience

Proven ability to work independently with strong time management skills

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Proficient with mobile technology and able to learn clientspecific software and job management systems

Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass background and drug screening

Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments

Experience with quoting service and client communication

Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS/BAS)

Backflow certification (a plus if working on crosstrade projects)
