Position Summary
The Hyperscale Debug Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and validating server hardware and related components within a high-volume data center environment. This role supports hyperscale cloud customers by ensuring failed equipment is accurately analyzed, repaired, tested, and returned to service while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis and debugging of server and networking hardware.
- Diagnose failures on motherboards, CPUs, memory, power supplies, storage devices, and other server components.
- Execute component-level repairs and replacements.
- Run validation and functional testing to confirm repair effectiveness.
- Review system logs and diagnostic reports to identify hardware failures.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, testing results, and inventory transactions.
- Follow established repair procedures, quality standards, and ESD requirements.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting computer, server, or electronic hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Knowledge of computer hardware architecture and server components.
- Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a data center, repair depot, manufacturing, or hyperscale environment.
- CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, or equivalent certifications.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with rack-mounted servers and enterprise hardware platforms.
- IPC certification or electronics repair experience.
Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
