Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction hour while they work with equipment and materials.
- Deliver personalized, engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and providing support in various subjects.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in subjects such as math, reading, writing, and science.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and confidence.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain focus during tutoring sessions.
- Adapt teaching methods based on the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree -or- are a college junior/senior working towards your degree in Math or Education
- Advanced knowledge and familiarity with teaching or tutoring in the areas of calculus, algebra 1 & 2, geometry and trigonometry.
- Have the ability to multitask
- Have a reliable form of transportation
Schedule
Afternoon/evening hours during the week (Monday-Thursday) and Saturday mornings available.
