Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Small Engine Mechanic to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including mowers, golfcarts, and other turf related equipment
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and filter replacements
- Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during all repair activities, including manual handling and heavy lifting tasks
Skills
- Prior experience with small engines, mechanical repair, or related work, including troubleshooting and following repair procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple repair tasks and communicate equipment needs, timelines, and recommendations to management
- Ability to safely perform physical labor, including lifting 40–50 lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and standing for extended periods
- Commitment to safety, including adherence to company policies and proper operation of trucks and heavy equipment in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for parts pickup
- Maintains a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
