Responsibilities
- Install, remove, and replace tires on a variety of vehicles using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Perform wheel alignments to ensure proper vehicle handling and tire longevity
- Conduct automotive fluid replacements such as oil changes, ensuring all procedures meet manufacturer standards
- Diagnose tire-related issues and other automotive repairs using basic automotive diagnostics tools
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks including brake inspections, suspension checks, and general mechanical repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs, recommending services, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process
Experience
- Dealership experience or experience working in an automotive service environment is highly preferred
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance equipment such as lifts and alignment machines
- Experience performing automotive fluid replacements like oil changes and fluid top-offs
- Knowledge of tire service procedures including mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair techniques
- Service technician experience that demonstrates strong mechanical repair skills and customer interaction abilities
- Ability to lift heavy tires and equipment safely during various repair tasks
