Job Summary
Contribute to overall production goals by determining where underground utilities (such as gas, oil, water, telephone and power lines) are located.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform all applicable utility locate requests in a timely manner
- Respond to all UNCC/WebTMS locate requests before expiration
- Perform job functions with concern for safety and environment
- Must be responsible and accountable for managing all Co811/WebTMS locate request tickets
- Responsible for regular checks and maintenance of all locating equipment
- Report problems requiring additional help or equipment to Supervisor
- Work professionally and respectfully with landowners and others at all times while performing job
- Other duties and responsibilities may be required at the direction of supervisor
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all company policies, environmental laws and regulations and all other applicable laws and regulations
- Assist in locating and documenting company utilities into GIS database
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma and 4 years related experience.
Specialized knowledge
- Basic mapping skills
- Basic knowledge of GPS tools and technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of pipeline systems and safety
Skills & Abilities
- Willingly ask questions and seek guidance from supervision.
- Show initiative by actively seeking advanced knowledge.
- Must be computer literate to include use of laptop and related technologies.
- Must be a self-starter. Possesses the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be accustomed to performing tasks in potentially adverse conditions.
Professional Certification
- Valid CO driver's license with driver’s record acceptable by QB Energy’s insurance carrier.
Industry Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in oil and gas industry or with Foreman recommendation.
Compensation
The base compensation for this role in this location is targeted between $62,400 to $93,600 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the range listed above.

Work Conditions
Location:
This position is in Parachute, CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position that operates in a field environment. The role requires flexibility to work weekends, nights, holidays, and handle callouts as needed. Employees must be able to work and drive in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, wind, snow, and rain. Overtime may occasionally be required, resulting in extended work shifts. Individuals must possess the physical ability to safely handle the tools necessary to perform their duties. This position is subject to federally mandated drug and alcohol testing.
Physical Demands:
In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to a minimum of 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.
