American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring 2+ years of Endo experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Work in the Endoscopy unit of a busy main campus hospital setting
-
Schedule includes Day shifts, either 4x10 hours (7:00-17:00) or 5x8 hours (7:00-15:00)

Every 3rd weekend shift required
-
Call requirements depend on skill level
-
May float within the hospital or to another nearby Premier hospital based on skill set and census
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active OH RN license or compact RN license required
-
AHA BLS certification required
-
ACLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy nursing experience required
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Epic charting system experience required
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
-
Skilled in post-procedure care including conscious sedation recovery, airway management, and monitored anesthesia care sedation recovery
-
Experience with colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and esophageal varices/banding procedures
-
Bronchoscopy, EBUS, and EUS experience preferred
-
Circulate and scrub skills preferred
-
Skilled in administering and monitoring conscious sedation
-
Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
-
Skilled in specimen handling and labeling
-
Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG preferred
-
Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
-
Experience with reversal agents and Versed administration
-
No candidates with past license disciplinary action will be accepted
-
Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
-
Perform pre-procedure, procedure, and post-procedure care for endoscopy patients
-
Work with specialized equipment including bronchoscopy carts, balloon dilators, forceps, foreign body equipment, lithotripters, polyp snares, and electrosurgical units
-
Utilize ERBE electrical coagulation instrument and disposable grounding pads
-
Support portable and bedside travel cases as needed
-
Maximum RTO of 14 days allowed per contract, with no schedule requests or RTO negotiable after an offer is made
-
Local radius is 50 miles and local travelers are not accepted
-
Previous PERM/PRN staff or prior agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying, subject to facility rehire approval

First-time travelers may be considered given required experience is met
