Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Toast.
- Handle retail sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Assist with food preparation and food safety management to uphold sanitation standards.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front-of-house area, including bussing tables.
- Support food service operations by managing quick service and fast food restaurant tasks with efficiency.
- Becoming knowledgeable of coffee and beverage menu to walk guests through to their ideal drink.
- Stocking and restocking bakery goods as they come out fresh. Learning new bakery items on the fly, as our team gets creative.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and lift 50lbs.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management to handle multiple tasks seamlessly during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous restaurant or café experience is highly desirable; grocery store or retail sales experience is a plus.
