Quizzo Trivia is looking for a fun, engaging, and reliable person to join our roster of trivia hosts in Michigan. We are seeking out a high-quality person to provide live trivia entertainment at a bar in Imlay City on Wednesday nights.
This is not just any old part-time job to earn supplemental income; at Quizzo Trivia you will be given the opportunity to showcase your unique talents and personality while providing a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience to your community. You will also be joining a creative team of trivia hosts and writers from various different backgrounds who unite together over a shared love of knowledge and camaraderie.
Our greatest strength is the diversity of our hosts that is reflective of the community we serve, and now we need you to add your stamp to the mix! Key responsibilities:
- Create a fun and memorable experience for our trivia players while also fostering lasting relationships, whether that be in a dive bar with 30 people or a corporate office with 130 people. (No matter the size or the scope, you should be someone who thrives off of engagement and building connections.)
- Consistent availability and commitment to arrive at trivia gigs on time and comfortably handle setting up and tearing down audio equipment and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Keep score of the Quizzo trivia game throughout the duration of the event and ensure it is run at the proper pace, while playing music and interacting with patrons between questions and rounds.
- Maintain an upbeat atmosphere throughout the duration of the game. You need to be able to think on your toes and handle any possibly scoring discrepancies in a fair and fast manner. Remember: You will be serving as both a liaison and ambassador for the company when hosting these events and are expected to act accordingly.
Further, we’re looking for people with the following qualifications:
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- A desire to build lasting relationships with patrons
- Knowledge and passion for trivia and pop culture
- A sense of humor and ability to improvise
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
The majority of our events take place in the evening, so evening availability is a must.
But best of all, we encourage you to bring your own personality to the position and put your own unique spin on our game. We’ll provide you the training and materials that you need, then hand the ball off to you and let you run with it.
