Job Overview
We are seeking a determined and experienced Line Cook to join our team for a shift of 11 am to 7 pm, 4-5 days a week. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the back-of-house operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food that meets all food safety standards. You will work with a team of cooks, servers, and kitchen staff, fostering a calm, structured environment that emphasizes excellence in meal preparation, cleanliness, and food handling. The job will start with training on the morning shifts with our experienced cooks, but will shift to dinner shifts after completing the assessment by the kitchen manager.
Duties
- Work with the back-of-house staff to ensure consistent menu items during a dinner rush
- Develop and implement appealing presentations and flavors consistently
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly, ensuring all dishes meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with hygiene regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, food safety logs, and meal documentation
Experience
- Preferred but not required. Willing to train.
- Have or are willing to complete a food safety handler's or a food safety manager's certification
- Experience with high-rush dining is highly desirable
- Excellent cooking skills with proficiency in various culinary techniques and knife skills
- Familiarity with restaurant or hospitality environments that emphasize quality food service and customer satisfaction

1 week of Paid time off is given to employees who have worked longer than 1 year, and 2 weeks to employees of 2 years or more.
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
