We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Coordinator II to join our team. In this vital role, you will champion workplace safety, environmental compliance, and employee health initiatives across our manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will help ensure adherence to regulatory standards while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This role assists with incident investigations, compliance tracking, environmental controls, and preventive actions while supporting audit readiness and continuous improvement across all company locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
An EHS Coordinator II is expected to perform one or more of the following essential job functions based on business needs:
- Responsible party in supporting the food safety culture of the company.
- Lead routine safety inspections, observations, and toolbox talks.
- Assist with investigations of injuries, near misses, equipment or property damage, unsafe conditions, and environmental incidents under the direction of EHS leadership.
- Document contributing factors, observations, and immediate causes without assigning faults or discipline.
- Track corrective and preventive actions to completion and follow up with responsible parties.
- Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, and compliance documentation.
- Support preparation for OSHA, SMETA, BRC, customer, and internal audits.
- Co-lead evacuation drills, emergency preparedness activities, and required safety inspections.
- Support Safety Committee meetings, including agenda preparation, follow-up on action items, and documentation.
- Monitor environmental compliance activities including waste streams, recycling programs, chemical inventories, SDS management, and spill response readiness.
- Track safety and environmental KPIs and trends.
- Provide safety and environmental training to assigned employees.
- Support EHS projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Be a supportive partner with training goals in coordination with the HR group.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify hazards and escalate risks appropriately.
- Effective communication and training delivery skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in EHS, manufacturing safety, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS tracking systems.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
