Duties
- Design and execute stimulating daily activities tailored to infants’ developmental stages, including sensory play, motor skills development, and social interaction.
- Provide attentive infant care by monitoring feeding schedules, diapering needs, sleep routines, and health observations.
- Lead classroom management efforts to create a safe, organized, and positive environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements that support early childhood education standards and individual child needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Mentor junior staff and assist in training new teachers to uphold high-quality caregiving practices rooted in childhood development principles.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, particularly with infants or toddlers.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education theories, infant care practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored to young children’s needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, compassion, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in nannying or babysitting young children is advantageous but not mandatory.
