Full-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) Days
Four days a week 10-hour shift, One weekend day.
Location: Dekalb County Jail
Compensation: $65/hr

Armor Health is seeking a dedicated Psych Nurse Practitioner to provide compassionate, independent primary care to an underserved population in a secure facility. This is a full-time position offering a consistent schedule, competitive pay, and a meaningful mission.
What You'll Do
- Performs psychiatric examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation and health education
- Works closely with the BHD and/or BHPs in identifying appropriate treatment plans for at-risk patients, or as needed
- Intermittently attends morning huddle calls, when indicated and/or when there are high-risk patients that require multidisciplinary treatment planning and collaboration
- Obtains patient histories, follows up with medication verification efforts, reviews pertinent medical history and develops patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format
- Provides support in coordinating the activities of patient care and/or support staff
- Participates in developing specific mental health policies and procedures, when indicated

Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license (GA or eligible)
- CPR certification (ACLS preferred)
- One year of NP experience
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass Level 2 background clearance
