The current themes I have in mind pertain to public affairs & food. We are in DC and this city has a lot to offer in terms of both of those sectors.
In order to accomplish the following objectives, I am seeking dynamic and creative people to fill multiple roles including Co- Host & Producer to partner with for the development, production, and distribution of engaging content. For the host, as a key driver of our podcast initiatives, you will help with all aspects of content creation, from conceptualization to post-production approval, ensuring each episode or commercial resonates with our audience. For a producer, your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will help elevate our storytelling, foster audience growth, and strengthen our content across multiple platforms. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to shape compelling narratives and bring innovative ideas to life.
Co-Host Responsibilities
- Develop and pitch innovative podcast concepts aligned with brand goals and audience interests
- Help recruit awesome guests and then collaborate with external partners to facilitate a smooth process
- Take literal ownership of this with me and strive to create something unique.
- Oversee social media management by helping to formulate promotional ideas, writing engaging posts, and translating materials when necessary to reach diverse audiences
- Help maintain organized records of episodes, scripts, editing notes, and distribution schedules
- Help form social media strategies
Producer Responsibilities
- Coordinate all stages of production, including scripting, recording, editing, and post-production using tools like Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite
- Edit audio content for clarity, flow, and engagement while maintaining authenticity and journalistic integrity
- Manage technical aspects of recording sessions, ensuring high-quality audio capture and seamless integration of sound effects or music
- Stay updated on industry trends in video production, tech & various platforms to continually enhance content quality
- Utilize interpretation skills for bilingual content or translation needs to expand reach across language barriers
Experience Required for Producer; Experience Not Required for Co-Host
- Proven experience in podcast production or audio/video editing with a strong portfolio demonstrating previous work
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to enhance compelling narratives
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop (for promotional visuals), and other Adobe Creative Suite tools
- Strong understanding of post-production processes including sound mixing, video editing, and visual integration when applicable
- Background in filmography, videography or journalism is highly desirable for producing accurate and engaging content
- Experience managing social media platforms for content promotion and audience engagement
- Bilingual abilities or translation experience are a plus for reaching diverse audiences effectively
